Our Materials
At Alumni Home, we prioritize solid hardwood construction wherever structurally possible.
We work primarily with teak and mahogany, two luxury hardwoods known for their strength, density, and longevity. These woods are less prone to sagging, bowing, or failing over time, especially compared to particleboard or low-grade engineered materials.
Many brands use solid wood only where visible and cut costs inside, but we take the opposite approach. We use solid wood even in internal framing and concealed components. Because longevity isn’t about what photographs well — it’s about what holds up ten years from now.
